The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Digital Accounting at the Atlantic Technological University (ATU) is a four-year program that combines traditional accounting principles with applied digital technology skills. This program is designed to prepare students for careers in accounting in the current and future business environment.
The program curriculum includes courses in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, accounting information systems, business process automation, data analytics, and blockchain technology. Students will also gain experience using accounting software and other digital tools.
The program includes a mandatory work placement, which provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in the accounting profession.
Notes
Tuition Fee – the Department of Education pays tuition fees for all full-time students who are citizens of a Member State of the EU and who meet the residency requirements. Most full-time undergraduate students will be covered by the Free Fees Initiative scheme for their tuition fee. Students from Northern Ireland or Great Britain do not have to pay tuition fees to study in the Republic of Ireland. All students are liable for the Student Contribution fee: €3,000.
Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0 plus: SAT score of 1000+ (1800 prior to 2016) or ACT composite score of 22 and above or 2-3 Advanced Placement Examinations in relevant subjects with grades 3 and above OR 2-3 SAT subject tests in relevant subjects with a minimum score of 600 in each.
