This branch of study ranks among the branches of study taught in English at the faculty, and it has only a full-time form. Its major advantage is that it provides its students with a comprehensive forestry education covering all areas of forest management (biological, technical, and environmental) from nature protection and forest products to providing recreational and other non-productive functions of forests with regard to sustainable forest management. Students gain the knowledge needed for practical forestry. At the same time, it has an international aspect thanks to which the graduates are easily employed outside the Czech Republic. Employability of Graduates-in developing countries or in the EU institutions, professional communication in international cooperation regarding the solution of the global perspective on forests and forestry in Europe and in the world, etc.-graduates may easily continue in the follow-up master degree programs (e.g., Forestry, Water and Landscape Management).
Admissions Requirements
Secondary education concluded with a school-leaving examination the certificate of which (either the original or its verified copy). If secondary education has been completed abroad, it is necessary to submit a Decision of Nostrification. Entrance examinations in Biology (an interview in English).
