This programme develops your ability to understand and analyse various types of socio-economic problems and the dynamics of the global economy. You will learn to use economic theory to analyse and evaluate economic problems and processes and understand the underlying factors.The programme’s major is economics (90 credits), but the programme also gives you good knowledge of statistics and econometrics (30 credits). These courses give you the skills and tools needed to process and analyse statistics which are increasingly in demand today. The programme also includes four courses (30 credits) in business administration, addressing various aspects such as leadership and accounting. Together, the combination of economics, statistics and business forms a good and broad foundation for future career choices and gives you a competitive edge when applying for jobs.

The number of places is limited and a selection is made based on high-school diploma GPA and letter of motivation. If you have already applied through universityadmissions.se, the Swedish central admission (open October 17- January 15), you should not place an additional application for the same programme through our local JU admission.
