Medicine is a unique course in that students study a broad range of subjects with the overarching objective of understanding the science and practice of healing. In today’s world, medicine and the practice of healthcare are constantly evolving as new knowledge and therapies emerge to maintain and restore health through the prevention and treatment of illness. Each day brings a new patient with new challenges. Medicine: The course for you? The medical program at Trinity is a challenging but highly rewarding experience. A student wishing to study medicine requires an inquiring mind, the capacity to acquire and maintain high levels of knowledge, the ability to develop effective communication skills to respond to the health needs of individuals, families, and communities, and an interest in improving healthcare at all levels.

Vaccination requirements with regard to Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Tuberculosis.Students will be required to undergo Garda vetting.Students from North America should not apply direct to Trinity College but should submit their application via the Atlantic Bridge Program at https://www.atlanticbridge.com/ In order for a student to be eligible for the Free Fees Initiative, they must have been living within the EU, UK or EEA countries, for the last 3 out of 5 years, must be a citizen and passport holder of the EU, UK or EEA and this must be their first time attending third level education, ie. university. Application deadline for EU students is February 1.
Admissions Requirements
US High School Diploma with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better (B+ average) unweighted and SAT with a minimum score of 1250 - 1400 on any two of the Critical Reading, Math and Writing sections and no score less than 500 or ACT with a minimum composite score of 27 - 32, Two Letters of Recommendation, Academic Statement. Specific requirements in two of physics/mathematics, chemistry, biology, physics/chemistry or agricultural science. Weighted GPAs will be recalculated by the Applications & Admissions Team.
