Profile
Graduated bachelors of Nanotechnology have the basic physical, chemical, and technical knowledge that can be applied in materials research in industry and research institutes focusing on modern technology, especially nanotechnology.
Knowledge of key learning outcomes: The aim of the bachelor’s study in nanotechnology is to provide education that will prepare graduates for work in laboratories with technicians, physicists, and chemists in industry, scientific research, and technology departments of companies focused primarily on modern technologies such as nanotechnology.
They master the investigation method of the structure and properties of nanomaterials. Bachelors also have knowledge of the preparation methods of nanomaterials. They are able to use computer technology to control experiments and measure results.
GENERAL COMPETENCIES: Individual graduates are able to independently make responsible decisions to solve individual parts of the problem. They know how to solve practical problems with the characterization and preparation of nanomaterials. They can formulate experimental results and prepare a research report. They can understand professional literature. Graduates are also experienced in a foreign language. Graduates can also continue their master’s studies in nanotechnology. The Occupational Profiles of Graduates Study is based on extended natural scientific foundations. Besides the basic courses of physics and chemistry, they consist of the basics of informatics and other technical subjects—electronics, automation, and material science—including their practical use. The integrated character of the studies is manifested especially in their third year with the subjects showing the modern interconnection of physics and chemistry in the microworld. Hence, attention is paid to various methods of nanostructures preparation, experimental methods of their study, and characterization of their exploitable attributes.
