Why Physiotherapy at RCSI Dublin? What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a science-based profession where – using their knowledge of anatomy and physiology – physiotherapists focus on maintaining or improving mobility, physical abilities, fitness, and quality of life using movement, exercise therapy, and other physical methods.
As a key member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, a physiotherapist works with people of all ages, who are affected by injury, illness, or disability. Physiotherapists also play a key role in preventive health and maximizing function. Our student bodyRCSI’s BSc in Physiotherapy is a four-year degree program for School Leavers and is three years in duration for Graduate Entry students. The program is open to applications from students from all over the world and, as with other programs at RCSI, we have a very international student body.
As an RCSI Physiotherapy student, you will study alongside your future colleagues in Medicine and Pharmacy, ensuring that the multidisciplinary nature of patient care is reflected in your education at RCSI. Upon graduation, you will be career-ready and competitively placed to work across all areas of the healthcare system. This practical course will provide you with clinical and critical thinking skills to meet the demands of a rapidly changing health sector.

This degree is also recognized internationally, with graduates enjoying either recognition by healthcare regulators in countries of their choosing or earning very high scores in licensing exams on the foot of their training with RCSI.
