Profile
Sociology provides the knowledge to understand how humans have organized themselves to live together: to cooperate, produce, innovate and create. It also explains how societies have evolved and shows that they can continue to do so in order to improve. Therefore, sociologists are essential to the transformation of any social context, among them groups, organizations and institutions. The bachelor’s degree in Sociology is structured around four basic learning objectives: to provide the theoretical tools to understand today’s world; to provide training in the use of the most appropriate techniques to comprehend collective dynamics that generate political, economic, cultural or demographic conflicts or changes; to foster the necessary reflection, analysis and critical perspective to promote effective interventions and social actions, and to provide the tools for social intervention in the market and in organizational and institutional settings.
