Kaposvar University
Description
Kaposvar University is one of the largest universities in the Southern Transdanubian region of Hungary. Its establishment made Kaposvar the ninth university town in the country. Kaposvar University was founded by the Hungarian Parliament on 1st January 2000 when operating faculties and colleges were integrated in Kaposvar.
Student Life
A snack bar, computer and multimedia rooms, and a gym with a sauna make the students’ life more comfortable. The center of the University is located on approximately eight acres and is considered to be the most beautiful campus in Hungary. Sports: Volleyball Students’ mass sport, Basketball, Aerobics, Archery, Running, Skating, Kayak-canoeing, Handball Yoga, Futsal, Football tennis, Swimming.
Housing
All of the rooms in the New Student Hostel (Új Kollégium) - completed in September 2005 and has a capacity of 350 - are double rooms with an en-suite shower and lavatory. Kaffka Margit Student Hostel has three-bedrooms with common showers, lavatories, and a kitchen on each floor. Disabled students can be accommodated in six rooms in the New Hostel and in two rooms in Csukás Zoltán Hostel. These rooms possess all amenities, and the buildings have disabled access.
