Why should I study here?

The University of Forestry is the only university in Bulgaria providing training of specialists in the fields of Forestry, Wood Technology and Furniture Production, Engineering Design of Furniture and Landscape Architecture. The university also provides training of specialists in Ecology and Environmental Protection, Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Plant Protection, Management and Alternative Tourism. The University is a leading training and research centre in the fields of management and sustainable use of natural resources. The University is accredited and provides training to students in the three educational and qualification degrees: Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and PhD.The University of Forestry has six faculties and 32 departments as follows:-Faculty of Forestry-training of students in Forestry;-Faculty of Forest Industry-training of students in Wood Technology and Engineering Design;-Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture-training of students in Ecology and Environmental Protection and Landscape Architecture;-Faculty of Business Management-training of students in Business Management and Alternative Tourism;-Faculty of Veterinary Medicine-training of students in Veterinary Medicine;-Faculty of Agronomy-training of students in Agronomy and Plant Protection.The University has two training and experimental forest ranges-Yundola and Barziya; one training and experimental field centre, botanical garden; as well as its own educational and sports camp at the Black Sea, near the ancient town of Nesebar (one of the oldest towns in Europe, established some 3200 years ago and listed in the World Heritage Sites of UNESCO).The number of staff (both lecturers and 

What are the admissions criteria?

Applicants are ranked based on their English proficiency, biology knowledge, and overall grades.  Transcripts and other documents must be legalized and translated. Applications are accepted from June 20th to September 9th.

Housing options.

Space in the dormitories is quite limited. Rooms are double or triple occupancy, but cost only around 40 euros a month! Apartments in town can be found for 200-300 euros per month.
