The Bachelor of Laws (Hons) (LL.B.) is a full-time four-year program that is both challenging and stimulating. As well as providing a broad-based legal education, our law degree equips students with analytical, problem-solving, communication, and research skills.
This combination of legal knowledge and transferable skills will prepare students for a variety of careers – both legal and otherwise – and postgraduate studies.
This course is approved by the Board of the Honorable Society of King’s Inns.
Notes
For EU: first time undergraduate students pursuing a full time programme will qualify for free tuition fee funding, however, please refer to http://www.studentfinance.ie for full details of the “Free Fees Initiative” ( F.F.I ) scheme. The Student Contribution Charge for the academic year 2023/2024 is €3,000. All third level undergraduate students are liable to pay this fee, unless they qualify for a SUSI grant.
Application deadline for EU students is February 1. There is a late closing date of 1st May but this is not available for all courses or for some categories of applicant. There is a special late closing date of 22nd July for all students currently registered in SETU Waterford or another HEI who wish to transfer to the first year of a different programme.
Admissions Requirements
Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%.
