The research-based MSc programme BioGeoSciences should be attractive for all students interested in the consequences of anthropogenic environmental change. The programme prepares you for talking over responsible duties within the broad field of environmental research and qualifies you for starting a PhD. It builds on the bachelor degree programme BioGeoSciences at Campus Koblenz.The programme focusses on landscape ecology and environmental research with biological and geographical methods. There are seven mandatory modules with 48 ECTS in total, all taught in English. You are free to set your own priorities by selecting seven elective modules (42 ECTS in total) out of the ones offered. Focal areas of the programme are: biodiversity, terestrial ecology, aquativ ecology, tropical ecology, geo-ecology, regional development, and man and environment.Close cooperations exist with the Bundesanstalt für Gewässerkunde (Federal Institute of Hydrology) in Koblenz, with universities in Rwanda and Madagascar as well as various other research institutions in Germany and abroad, enabling exciting and applied research projects.During the study course you will gain several scientific and methodological competences. This qualifies you to perform environmental research as well as for consulting jobs in governmental and non-governmental organisations, national and international companies as well as engineering and consulting offices.
