Profile
Biology describes the phenomena of living creatures, the relationships between the living beings and their environment. It examines the development of the living beings and the reactions that take place in and between them. Chemistry, physics, mathematics and computer science are fundamental principles of biology. Our knowledge of biochemistry, biotechnology, bioinformatics, ecology, medicine, pharmacy, psychology, etc. would be incomplete without the knowledge from biology. In this broad field of work, biologists have many career opportunities. In addition to classical activities in collections, education, environmental impact assessments and nature conservation, biologists are also working in the biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical and medical sectors, either in research, in the routinelabor, in management or in sales. This includes activities in planning and executing companies, authorities, environmental offices, environmental initiatives, associations, publishers, criminology, etc.
