The master degree programme consists of 3 advanced and 3 experimental modules chosen from the following: Inorganic, organic, physical, theoretical and biochemistry; 3 project modules (max. one non-chemical module) from the research areas of inorganic, organic, physical, theoretical (quantum) chemistry, biochemistry, technical, nuclear, and/or macromolecular chemistry. Non-chemical areas are: physics, crystallography, mineralogy, genetics, pharmacology and toxicology, physiological chemistry. The main areas of research and competences at the department of chemistry are: materials (e.g. nano-materials), catalysis and synthesis, optoelectronics photochemistry, biochemistry, structures and theory. Candidates can specialise in these areas.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in Chemistry. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency. Application deadline for non-EU students is January 15 and July 15.
