The programme takes a holistic view on the Internet infrastructure together with its services and applications, and covers the important fields required to develop global communication systems for next generations. Students will learn about the fundamental design principles behind the Internet, which have enabled the explosive growth, and that has stimulated the growth of new business ideas and ventures. The programme also covers novel concepts and topics such as cloud computing, software-defined networking, 5G mobile network technology, and Internet-of-Things.Students work in a research environment with ample experimental resources and in close contact with the industry – including leading system manufacturers, service developers and providers, and advanced early adopters. The first study period consists of mandatory core courses, which provide in-depth knowledge in the areas of communication systems and networks. The program continues with specialization tracks including some mandatory courses within the track and a wide range of elective courses, allowing the student to specialize within the programme subject areas. Many courses are problem-oriented, with self-directed and project-based work. The fourth semester is devoted to the Master degree project.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Information Technology. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application deadline for non EU applicants is January 15.
