The Degree Programme in Computer Science and Engineering focuses on providing a wide range of skills and knowledge needed in research, product development, and production of computer-based devices, services and systems including, for example, expertise for developing solutions to artificial intelligence based data analysis, Internet of Things, and interactive systems. The programme is based on the latest research excellence and prepares students to apply their skills in working life, and gives them tools for continuous learning as well. The programme aims to provide skills and knowledge needed in various professional tasks in the field of computer science and engineering. Master of Science studies cover three options, which are Applied Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering. Furthermore, studies can be supplemented with other subjects. The student can specialize based on his/her own interest, for example, to intelligent data analysis using state-of-the-art methods from artificial intelligence. Another possible study path is to specialize in designing energy efficient computing technology for smart phones, mobile base stations, sensor networks, cars, wearable devices, for example; or he/she can decide to become a specialist who is familiar with new technologies such as ubiquitous and social computing, and is able to develop both software and hardware solutions to problems identified by users and companies.

A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency (TOEFL 92 and IELTS 6.5).Admission Deadline: January 23
