The specialty is focused on nature of conflict in historical and contemporary perspective. It provides a thorough conceptual framework to help students in understanding the process of negotiation, withtheoretical and practical investigations of multidimensional aspects of conflicts, and other considerations necessary to the development of effective overall negotiating strategies. Students will learn how todevelop effective strategies for establishing stable solutions and a robust civil society, including how to address the interplay among issues of corruption, accountability, rule of law, elections, political partydevelopment, public administration, and economic reconstruction in divided societies.
