The Master in Contemporary East Asian Regional Studies is an English-taught degree program with a social scientific, contemporary and interdisciplinary profile. The program offers research-focused training for highly qualified graduates with BA or similar university degrees in Political Sciences, International Relations, Sociology or Economics. The principal focus of the MA program is the theoretical and problem-centred analysis of social, political and economic phenomena in East Asia. Its aim is to deepen and enrich the student’s ability to assess contemporary change, the challenges for the East Asian region and the implications of such developments for Europe.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor degree with a major in Social or Political Sciences or Economy. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency. Application deadline for non EU students is July 15.
