Profile
The field of Engineering Mechanics includes all areas of the industrial design process that are based on advanced mechanical analysis of product behavior and functionality. The Master’s programme equips students with the knowledge and skills required to focus on reliable and sustainable design by simulations and experiments. The education within the three tracks – Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics and Sound & Vibration – is conducted with involvement from industry and influenced by the latest research. Only one third of the courses are mandatory, so students can tailor the course structure to meet their individual aims. This is very useful for those interested in exchange studies. The theoretical courses are mixed with more applied project courses and the final degree project is often performed at a company in Sweden or abroad.
