Railway Engineering is a two-year master programme The instruction language is entirely English. About half of the courses are given by the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC) and KTH respectively. The program also includes mobility. At least 15 ECTS credits have to be taken on site at the partneruniversity. Many courses are taught online by KTH and UIUC specifically for this program. The program emphasizes on the system aspect, which is extremely important in railway systems. Vehicle, infrastructure and control system have to be designed to work optimally together. Therefore the program contains courses from mechanical, civil as well as electrical engineering.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with a major in mechanical, civil, vehicle engineering or similar programme with sufficient theoretical depth and good academic results.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application deadline for non EU applicants is January 15.
