The programme aims to prepare highly qualified specialists in human geography and, by developing their competences oriented towards knowledge economy, to study the issues of the development of Lithuanian society and economy and to apply the principles of sustainability to the solution of spatial problems in the context of the Baltic Sea Region and the EU member states.The key courses taught in the study programme include Theory and Methodology of Human Geography, Spatial Statistics, World Economics and International Relations, EU Geography, Maritime Economy Geography, Urbanisation and Urban Geography, Recreation and Tourism Geography, Drafting of Regional Development Projects, Baltic Sea Region Studies, Health Geography, Intro to Globalisation, Work with GIS: Analysis and Mapping, Modelling of Environmental and Social Processes by GIS.

Admissions Requirements
