Profile
Measurement and analysis of human motionThe Master’s program ‘ Human Movement Analytics – Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (Master of Science)’imparts knowledge and know-how combining basic research in movement science, biomechanics, and neuroscience with applying state-of-the art motion capture and data analysis techniques. This combines development of theoretical knowledge and methodological skills opens up advanced research opportunities in the fields of human movement analysis, biomechanics, behavioral science, and motor neuroscience. The curriculum focuses on a multidisciplinary perspective on analyzing human motion incorporating psychology, neuroscience, engineering and data science. The study program provides students with the opportunity to acquire competencies that will enable them to address basic and applied questions on the highest scientific level in health care and competitive sports, in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, in ergonomics, and in occupational science.Starting with the winter term 21/22, the Human Movement Analytics – Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (HMA: BMCL) degree program will be offered in English as a continuation of the previous Biomechanics – Motor Skill – Human Motion Analytics (BMB) degree program.Measurement and analysis of human movementThe master’s program Human Movement Analytics – Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (Master of Science)“Imparts knowledge and skills that are based on basic research in movement science, biomechanics and neuroscience, which enable methodological skills and further research opportunities in the areas of movement analysis, biomechanics, behavioral and neurophysiological motor skills research. The focus of the curriculum is the interdisciplinary analysis of human movements. The course offers students the acquisition of skills in health and competitive sports, in rehabilitation in the orthopedic and neurological field, in ergonomics and ergonomics to be able to work on basic and application-related issues at the highest scientific level. From the winter semester 21/22, the Human Movement Analytics – Biomechanics, Motor Control, and Learning (HMA: BMCL) course will be offered in English and will continue the previous course Biomechanics-Motor-Movement Analysis (BMB).
