Profile
The two-year programme consists of core mandatory courses in biotechnology followed by elective courses, which include chemistry, environmental analysis and other technological subjects chosen by the student. The student is therefore able to tailor their education allowing for a unique profile to each degree, for instance “Industrial-Process Design” or “Environmental-Systems Analysis.” Skills such as problem solving and project management as well as professional communication are emphasised in several courses. The education is closely coupled to the research undertaken at the School of Biotechnology and to the Swedish Bio/Pharmaceutical/Chemical industry.
