This programme provides multi-disciplinary skills to understand the role information technology plays in society and how technology can be used to solve important tasks.The master’s programme consists of course work (one year) and thesis (one year). The courses are selected in consultation with your supervisor, and this is when the specialization is decided. Note that two of the specializations require particular combinations of courses at Bachelor level. The thesis is normally carried out at the Department of Informatics, but you also have the opportunity to do the work somewhere else, eg. at a research institution or in a business.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a major in a related field and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency. Application period for non EU students is from October 1 to December 1.
