Profile
The master’s programme in International Public Administration and Politics (IPAP) aims to develop highly-skilled professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to act effectively in an increasingly complex border-cross field of public administration and politics. The borders in mind are the borders between the public, private and civil sectors, and between ministerial divisions. On top of this, public administration and politics take place in a multilevel governance setting involving municipalities, regions, countries and supranational entities, such as the EU. The programme focuses on Europe and the Western World. The programme focuses on the interplay between politics and public administration and on the interaction between different levels of governance in policy making. These levels span from sub-national and national levels over EU, European, inter- and transnational levels.Typical tasks for IPAP graduates will include preparing and managing collaborative cross-border and transnational projects dealing with common policy problems in fields which could include environmental sustainability, transportation, education, social welfare, trade, immigration, security policies and more.
