The Master’s programme in Language and Society was developed for language students to prepare for a future career in an international context and focuses on the analysis of language, language use and variation, and language policy. Students specialise in one of the European languages or language families. The language (groups) that you can choose from for your specialisation are:EnglishFrenchGermanItalianScandinavianSlavonicSpanishThe programme focuses on the analysis of language, language use and variation, and language policy. It comprises courses on linguistics of the language of your specialisation (English, French, German, Italian, Scandinavian, Slavonic, Spanish). In order to prepare students for a future in an enterprise or a non-profit organisation in an international context, they may combine courses in linguistics with an elective course from the European Studies programme and/or an internship.

Admissions Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Undergraduate GPA is evaluated and typically requires at least a 3.0 average. Admission Deadline: March 1
