Profile
The programme starts with a project course tackling a prototypical mechanical engineering problem. Our students develop the soft skills that are important in a modern work environment, and construct an individualised professional profile as a mechanical engineer. This profile forms the basis for their further study path. The project course is part of the 30 credits of common studies of the programme. In addition the student should take 30 credits of advanced studies in the field. Although the advanced studies courses are listed in topic groups, this does not mean that students must choose predefined study paths in those topics; students may choose a less conventional mix of courses in accordance with their individual profile. 30 credits of elective studies are also included. They may be chosen within or outside of mechanical engineering. The Master’s thesis completes the programme.Specialisation in the programme is offered through advanced studies courses, which are organised into topic groups. You may follow pre-defined study paths within those topics or pick a less conventional mix of courses in accordance with your individual profile. -Arctic Technology-Engineering Materials-Mechatronics-Product Development-Production Engineering-Solid Mechanics-Marine Technology
