The purpose of the graduate programme in Middle East Studies is to provide thorough knowledge of contemporary historical and political conditions of the Middle East.The student will acquire both historical overview of the Middle East and detailed insight into central issues of the shaping of the modern Middle East – issues which have contributed and will continue to contribute to form the Middle East, Middle East Studies, and the processes that will characterise the region and the research fields in the beginning of the 21st century. The study programme will also focus on the Middle East involving issues concerning Mediterranean perspectives, cultural encounters, refugee problems and human rights issues and European and Danish integration.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants must have a bachelor's degree with a major in History,English,Religion,French,Journalism,Ethnography,Anthropology,Geography,Negot,Philosophy and Political Science.Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency.Application deadline for non EU students is February 1.
