The programme involves in-depth research oriented studies in the areas of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. Independent laboratory work is a prominent part of the studies. During the first semester of the Master´s programme you will study advanced courses in biotechnology, molecular biology, biostatistics and bioinformatics and their applications in biotechnology. Advanced laboratory facilities are employed for DNA and protein analyses such as PCR amplification, site-directed mutagenesis, cloning, and protein expression. Computational resources are also used for molecular biological and bioinformatic analysis and database searching.The programme is concluded with a master degree project work (30 ECTS credits) in the last semester. During the project work, you will expand your theoretical and laboratory knowledge and solve a relevant research problem in Molecular Biology. The project work is performed individually under the direction of supervisors qualified in the field.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants need a bachelor’s degree with a major in the biological or medical area. Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application deadline for non EU applicants is January 15.
