Companies and organisations today must be able to deal with what is happening globally. This requires individuals who have knowledge of management, strategy, decision-making and business intelligence. The Master Programme in Business and Management at Uppsala University gives you these skills, while at the same time offering you the opportunity to study in-depth in any one of the three specialisations: Marketing, International Business and Organisation.WHY THIS PROGRAMME?The Master Programme in Business and Management is characterised by innovative thinking and progress where the teaching reflects the cutting edge research carried out at the Department of Business Studies at Uppsala University. This is a two-year programme with the opportunity to finish your studies after the first year.For those of you that choose Organisation as your specialisation, you will go in-depth and study the various ways in which modern organisations respond to different types of expectations and demands in their environment. This may include new regulations, demands to act ethically and in a socially responsible manner, requirements for transparency, insights into relations with media and the rest of society, or expectations to adjust to new management ideas that are currently in vogue. The specialisation aims to educate analytically skilled employees with a special ability to understand the business environment and the relationships that exist between organisations and society.First yearDuring the first year you will take courses that are common for all participants of the Master Programme in Business and Management, as well as courses that are specific to the specialisation in Organisation.Second yearDuring the third semester, you have the opportunity to undertake an internship at a commercial company or an organisation. If you choose to take elective courses instead, there is the opportunity of a single term international exchange to study at one of our partner universities around the world. You also have the option to choose elective courses at Uppsala University. In the fourth and last semester, you will write a 30 credit Master’s thesis where you will go more in-depth within a particular area of the specialisation in Organisation.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in business studies. Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency. Application deadline for non EU students is January 16.
