The Public Management and Leadership specialisation addresses public administration from an organisational and managerial perspective and prepares you to succeed as a leader in the public domain.In the Public Management and Leadership specialisation within the Public Administation master’s programme, you will acquire the theoretical knowledge and practical skills that lie at the foundation of effective organisations in the public sector; from cooperating with citizens and partners, to motivating staff and leading organisational change. Furthermore, you will acquire the analytical and practical skills that will enable you to effectively perform in the complex situations that are inherent to public management.The 1-year Master of Public Administration/Public Management and Leadership specialisation builds on two core courses followed by every MPA student: Public Institutions and Public Policy&Values, which give you an understanding of cutting-edge research in the field of public administration. Four specialisation-specific courses, one elective, and practical Research Design and Research Methods courses fill out your first three study blocks and prepare you to write your culminating master’s thesis in Block 4.

Admissions Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Public Administration or a degree with at least 50 EC for components related to the field of Public Administration and competence in the methodology of social science research as evidenced by prior course work, CV.
