During the programme you will develop knowledge about current theories on planning and development. Further, you will be familiar with advanced methods for analyses used by potential employers in the field of spatial planning and development. Methods introduced are geographical information systems (GIS), consequence assessments, prognoses and simulation techniques. The programme is situated in Social and Economic Geography with a main focus on quantitative methods and spatial planning.You can opt for a one year master degree. If you rather choose to study two years you will be able to apply for a two year master degree, as well as developed knowledge and methodological skills. Second year courses are more oriented towards international aspects of planning and development.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree with a major in Social Geography, Geography, Social Planning, Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Ethnology, Political Science, Economic History, Earth Science, Regional Science, Development Studies, Environmental Science, Architecture, Landscape Architecture.Applicants from non-anglophone countries must provide proof of English proficiency.Application deadline for non EU students is January 15.
