The programme spans disciplines within an increasingly important field, a growing field that demands skilled graduates who can transfer theoretical knowledge and practical skills into meaningful action. This interdisciplinary study environment is unique in Sweden and takes advantage of world-leading interdepartmental competence at the Department for Environment and Planning, the School of Architecture, and the Department for Sustainable Development, Environmental Science and Technology. The programme brings together students of architecture, planning, civil engineering, natural and social sciences. Students develop expertise for analysing, synthesising and coordinating complex planning and design tasks aimed at sustainable development. Students will be equipped with professional tools that position them to act as critical links, joining multiple perspectives together in sustainable planning and design processes relevant in Sweden and worldwide.

Admissions Requirements
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with a major in architecture or landscape architecture, physical planning, civil engineering in the built environment, energy and environment or equivalent, urban and regional planning, social or natural sciences relevant to the scope of the programme.Applicants from non-anglophone countries should provide proof of English proficiency.The application deadline for non EU applicants is January 15.
