In this degree subject, you will explore life at the molecular level. This will enable you to pursue a career in biomedical and biomolecular science. Biochemistry & Molecular Biology explores the chemistry of living organisms and cells. It involves the study of the molecules that play a role in the function of the cell and the molecular basis for changes in the cell and tissues that can lead to disease.

EU Fee status and the Free Fees Initiative: Under the terms of the Free Fees Initiative, the Irish Exchequer will pay tuition fees to the University on behalf of students registered for the first time on qualifying, full-time, undergraduate degree programmes. Such programmes must be of a minimum duration of 2 years.
The Student Contribution Charge for undergraduate students who qualify for ‘free fees’ is €3,000.

Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma without standardized exams 4.0 / 4.0 GPA or with standardized exams 3.33 / 4.0 GPA and 1100 SAT or 22 ACT.
Additional requirements: Math 600 in maths section of SAT or 26 in maths ACT or 3 in AP Calc or Stats or C in college/university math class. Lab Science B in senior year HS course or 2 in AP Lab Science subject or C in college/university math class.
