Profile
Modern biotechnology, or bioengineering, is a complex, multi-faceted field. On the one hand, bioengineering focuses on the development of new products from biological systems, for example, detergents, cosmetics, and active pharmaceutical ingredients. On the other hand, its scope extends beyond that, to developing and realizing solutions to the challenges of the future: finding a cure for cancer, reversing the effects of climate change, finding alternative resources and energy sources, and addressing the health-related issues of an aging human population. These examples all share a common link: a discipline that bridges the gap between natural sciences and engineering and technology. Our Bioengineering course provides a thorough understanding of the diverse and complex aspects of biotechnology. The tight intermeshing of natural and engineering sciences, from the very first semester, allows you to fully understand and utilize the potential of biotechnology. To enhance the learning experience and ensure that students are able to actively apply their theoretical knowledge, you’re given numerous opportunities to work in small groups with close supervision from professors and lecturers. Our excellent facilities and modern laboratories further enhance your training by allowing you to learn and use equipment that is actively used in the field of biotechnology.
