This course will appeal to those with a keen interest in science and in how research and technology can impact on human health. It is training scientists at the interface of science and medicine. You will learn how scientifically driven investigations can advance our knowledge of disease prevention, detection and treatment and translating these into clinical utility.
The course will immerse you in modern medical and biological sciences and focus on the application of scientific developments. The small course size enables students from this course to form close friendships and strong connections for life. The flexible, modular structure of this degree allows you to specialise in the areas of investigative biomedical science that interest you, particularly in the later stages of the degree

EU Fee status and the Free Fees Initiative: Under the terms of the Free Fees Initiative, the Irish Exchequer will pay tuition fees to the University on behalf of students registered for the first time on qualifying, full-time, undergraduate degree programmes. Such programmes must be of a minimum duration of 2 years.
All students entering Bio Medical Health are required to pay a Healthcare Screening charge of €285 on registration.
The Student Contribution Charge for undergraduate students who qualify for ‘free fees’ is €3,000.

Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with 3.8 / 4.0 GPA and 1400 SAT or 31 ACT and one AP score 3 or better.
Additional requirements: Math 600 in maths section of SAT or 26 in maths ACT or 3 in AP Calc or Stats or C in college/university math class. Lab Science B in senior year HS course or 2 in AP Lab Science subject or C in college/university lab science class.
