Profile
The goal of the study programme is to secure professional knowledge and practical skills adapted to the social needs of the state, and it is based on traditions of Christian ministry and service (caritas). The programme is aimed at specialists in professional work in both State and local institutions, as well as in Christian institutions and NGOs. Acquisition of the ascribed knowledge guarantees professionalism fit for the contents of the European social model based on and following traditions of Christian stewardship.Courses in social sciences are offered (sociology, social policy, pedagogy, psychology, economics), permitting analysis of interactions between society and an individual. A wide spectrum of interdisciplinary knowledge is given for the ability to seek innovative solutions when working with cases and research; knowledge of variable social and caritative technologies for stabilization of social cohesion; exhaustive and diverse field work options to acquire diagnostic, methodical, social, and analytical skills; and critical analysis of various approaches and schools in the field of social work.
