A Bachelor of Social Services is capable of analyzing social phenomena and understanding their significance to people’s lives and well-being. Combining pedagogical (education and learning) and social (societal) perspectives at work is emphasized in social pedagogy. The work is carried out in the daily lives of people of different ages in their own living environments. Bachelor of Social Services is also capable of taking on tasks requiring development and leadership skills, promoting the social perspective within social services as well as multi-professionalism and networking within the overlapping areas among welfare providers.
