Arts (Arts with Children’s Studies)—AWCA four-year arts degree that offers the ability to study two general arts subjects to degree level, in addition to specializing in children’s studies. It is ideal for those with a genuine desire to study other arts subjects and those looking to pursue post-primary teaching. Interdisciplinary, including work in the community in seven of eight semesters and a half-year or full-year placement in Ireland or abroad. Find out more: Arts (Children’s Studies)Child, Youth, and Family: Policy and Practice)-APPA is a four-year program that places specific emphasis on developing the knowledge and practical skills required to work in the youth work, family support, and community development sectors. The program includes a nine-month work placement in year three and small group teaching delivered in the Institute for Lifecourse and Society. Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 Unweighted. Minimum SAT of 1090 (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing 560, Math 530) or an ACT of 21 to gain entry. If available, Advanced Placement Tests - Grade 3 or above in at least two tests (preferably three tests). Students will also need to submit a personal statement and two references to support their application.
Notes
Both EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA citizens have to pay a student contribution fee of maximum €3,000 year for student services. Eligibility for Free Fees Initiative is available for EU students. Students may apply to SUSI for a grant towards their student contribution or tuition fees. Students must satisfy the Garda/police vetting requirements.
Application deadline for EU students is February 1.
