Study Finance, Economics, Mathematics and a choice of languages or Computer Science. Languages available: Chinese, French, German and Spanish are available to complete beginners.
Either work or study abroad in 3rd year (or work in an internationally orientated company in Ireland all subject to availability). You may study abroad in the 1st semester, and work in the 2nd.
You will learn how the financial system works, how assets are traded and international markets are linked.
Why choose this degree?
- Be prepared both intellectually and practically for employment in the highly competitive and dynamic world of international finance.
- Use analytical tools including mathematics, deductive logic and applied statistics to examine problems and devise logical solutions.
- This degree is not suitable for those mostly interested in the accounting side of finance (though all students are recommended to take one module in Accounting).
Notes
All students are liable for the Student Contribution fee: €3,000 (for non-EU students is already included in the price). Exchequer Free Fees Scheme for EU student is available.
Application deadline for EU students is February 1 (Regular) and May 1 (Late).
Duration: 4 years with placement or Erasmus/Study Abroad.
Admissions Requirements
High School GPA 3.0/4.0 (3.5/4.0 for certain degrees) plus a minimum 1000 composite SAT (reading, writing and math) score (1200 / 1600 for certain degrees) or a minimum ACT composite: 22 / 36 (26 /36 for certain degrees) (writing section not required). Test scores are not required when applying, they can be submitted at a later date.
