Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and underlying mental phenomena. The field encompasses research, through which students learn fundamental features about human and animal behavior, and practice, in which that knowledge is applied to help solve human problems. The Psychology major provides students with a high-quality, well-rounded, challenging education. It encourages analytical and critical thinking, the careful appraisal of evidence and the application of various technical skills.
