The Prado, the Thyssen, the Reina Sofia: Madrid’s museums along with its cultural heritage and history place it among the top cities in the world to study art history. And Madrid’s vibrant art scene,its exhibitions, seminars, and events, including ARCO, the city’s annual International Contemporary Art Fair is integrated into the study of Art and Art History at SLU Madrid.Each semester, SLU Madrid’s Art History department offers the range and diversity of courses for students to complete SLU’s major or minor in art history; its courses also place visiting students before the masterpieces they are studying in class. Madrid, of course, is an unparalleled resource for the study of Spanish and Western art, and SLU Madrid offers extracurricular activities and excursions, guest lectures on campus, and internships at galleries and museums to complement its Art History curriculum.

U.S. citizens, except those with official residency outside the United States, pay the U.S. dollar 2022-2023 published rates of $12,815 for permanent undergraduate, full-time tuition and $15,180 for first semester transfer and non-SLU visiting students.
