Care for people’s feet and make a real difference in their lives with the University of Salford’s BSc (Hons) in Podiatry. This three-year, full-time program equips you with the knowledge and practical skills to become a qualified podiatrist, treating a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions.
Develop Your Expertise in Podiatry: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics of the foot and lower limb. Learn to diagnose and treat various foot disorders, including foot pain, skin and nail conditions, biomechanical issues, diabetic foot problems, and sports injuries.
Master Practical Skills: Hone your clinical skills through practical placements and supervised learning in the University’s on-campus podiatry clinic and NHS podiatry settings throughout the program. Develop a patient-centered approach and gain valuable experience treating real patients under the guidance of qualified podiatrists.
Strong Science Foundation: Build a strong foundation in relevant sciences like anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, pharmacology, and pathology. This knowledge base allows you to understand the underlying causes of foot conditions and make informed treatment decisions.
Holistic Approach to Patient Care: Learn to assess patients holistically, considering not only their foot health but also their overall health and lifestyle.

Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a combined score of SAT I of at least 1260 with an individual minimum score in mathematics of 570 /800 and an individual minimum score of 610/800 in the evidence-based reading and writing section; or ACT with a score of at least 26; or grade 3, 3, 4 in three Advanced Placement Tests (APs) in specified subjects; or SAT II in three specified subjects at 575 or better (we will accept tests interchangeably as long as in total three subject areas are covered).
If you do not meet the entry requirements, you could take the International Foundation Year to gain entry onto this degree. As part of the application process, you may be invited to an interview.
