Change lives and empower individuals with the University of Salford’s BSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics. This full-time, three-year program is one of only a few offered in the UK and equips you with the clinical and technical skills to become a qualified prosthetist or orthotist.

Prosthetists and orthotists are healthcare professionals who assess, design, manufacture, and fit artificial limbs (prostheses) and supportive devices (orthoses) for patients who have lost limbs or require additional musculoskeletal support. Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a combined score of SAT I of at least 1260 with an individual minimum score in mathematics of 570 /800 and an individual minimum score of 610/800 in the evidence-based reading and writing section; or ACT with a score of at least 26; or grade 3, 3, 4 in three Advanced Placement Tests (APs) in specified subjects; or SAT II in three specified subjects at 575 or better (we will accept tests interchangeably as long as in total three subject areas are covered).
If you do not meet the entry requirements, you could take the International Foundation Year to gain entry onto this degree. As part of the application process, you may be invited to take part in an online activity or assessment.
