Pursue a rewarding career in law enforcement with the University of Salford’s BSc in Professional Policing. This three-year, full-time program provides a comprehensive and practical education, preparing you for the challenges and responsibilities of modern policing.

The program incorporates a placement year where you gain valuable firsthand experience working alongside GMP officers. This experience enhances your employability and strengthens your application for police constable positions.

Graduate Ready: Upon successful completion, you will graduate with a recognized degree meeting the College of Policing’s national curriculum for police constable training. This equips you for direct entry into the police service or further professional development opportunities within the criminal justice system.
Graduates are prepared for careers within the police service, including:
- Police Constable Roles (across various specialisms)
- Community Policing Officer
- Detective Constable Roles (upon further training)
- Specialist Units within Police Forces

Admissions Requirements
High School Diploma with a combined score of SAT I of at least 1260 with an individual minimum score in mathematics of 570 /800 and an individual minimum score of 610/800 in the evidence-based reading and writing section; or ACT with a score of at least 26; or grade 3, 3, 4 in three Advanced Placement Tests (APs) in specified subjects; or SAT II in three specified subjects at 575 or better (we will accept tests interchangeably as long as in total three subject areas are covered).
