Do you want to work with Internet of Things, Interactive Media or Data Engineering? The Software Technology Engineering Bachelor’s Degree programme provides you with the skills and knowledge needed to develop and manage software systems.
The programme is a combination of theory lectures and project work within Software Development in general, programming electronics devices, real-time programming, computer networks, Internet-of-things (IoT), game design, web design, augmented and virtual reality, database technology, big data and cloud computing. As part of this programme, you will develop professional and personal skills in information technology as well as gain qualifications for further studies at Master’s level. After the third semester, you can transfer to the AR/VR specialisation in Viborg to complete your studies at the Danish Interactive Digital Center at Campus Viborg.
Depending on the choice of electives, students can specialise in one of three areas:
- Internet-of-Things
- Interactive Media
- Data Engineering
Furthermore, at all VIA’s engineering programmes, we have independently from which field you are enrolled at, a focus on sustainability, digitalisation, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The programme consists of practice-oriented teaching with a mix of classroom lessons and project-oriented work. To the furthest extent possible, we plan the teaching, so that you learn theories through concrete assignments, tasks, cases and projects.

Admissions Requirements
Upper secondary school leaving certificate/high school exam or The International and the European Baccalaureates or Danish Admission Course for Engineering programs.Â
Specific admission requirements: Mathematics is equivalent to a Danish A-level (min. 375 hours); Physics equivalent to a Danish B-level (min. 190 hours) or Geoscience equivalent to a Danish A-level.
Notes
If you have not yet completed your Upper Secondary School at the time of application, you will be able to forward the final Diploma within a later specified deadline.
Tuition for the 5th semester is 1,140 euros.
