Why should I study here?

BTH was founded in 1989, which means that we are a young institute who manages education and research in new ways but with high quality.BTH offers top-quality education and research. There are eight Master's programmes in English in a variety of fields, ranging from engineering to strategic leadership to sustainability.  There are also several PhD programs. The university is ranked second in the world and number one in Europe in systems and software engineering, as well as number one in Sweden and number three in Europe in sustainability research.

What are the admissions criteria?

What is student life like?

BTH is located in the county of Blekinge in the southeastern part of Sweden and has campuses in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. The campuses are both on the seafront, and it is not unusual for visitors to say that BTH has Sweden’s most beautifully situated campuses.

Although both Karlskrona and Karlshamn are rather small towns, the large metropolises of Copenhagen and Stockholm are not far away. It takes only some 50 minutes to fly to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. Our campuses are ideal for outdoor activities, but they are still close to whatever practicalities you need in everyday life. Everything is easily reached.
