Why should I study here?

SeAMK was founded in 1992 through a merger of various institutes, each of which had a history of more than 100 years.

What are the admissions criteria?

Students apply using the joint application form on studyinfo.fi between January 10th and January 25th. Since a high school diploma is technically needed to apply, students who are in their final year of high school should check with the school to see if they could be considered for discretionary admission (which basically means that the school allows you to apply for provisional consideration).  Applicants from non-anglophone countries need to submit English proficiency test scores, and all applicants need to include a photocopy of their passports. Finnish UAS programs are held in April of each year.  There are several locations worldwide for the entrance exams, though some programs/schools require that the exam be taken in Finland.  Some programs allow SAT scores to substitute for the entrance exam.

What is student life like?

The Frame area, the main campus of SeAMK, serves some 5000 students. The fields of education at the Frami Campus include agriculture, technology, culture, business, hospitality management, social work, elderly care, and health care. In addition, SeAMK also has units in other municipalities through the SeAMK Regional University. These units offer multiform adult education in the cities of Alajärvi, Alavus, Kauhajoki, Kauhava, Kurikka, and htäri.

Scholarships & Funding

All first-year students who are required to pay a tuition fee will be granted a scholarship that covers 50% of the annual tuition fee
