The University of Lodz (UL) is a public research university in Łódź, Poland. It was founded in 1945 and is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Poland. UL has over 25,000 students and 2,600 faculty members. It offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in a variety of fields, including:

Student Life
The University has 10 dormitories with a capacity of over 4,000, which are situated in a wide campus area called Lumumbowo, packed with greenery and resembling a park. The university campus offers modern rooms within walking distance of most faculty buildings.The sports facilities include: a multi-purpose sports field / tennis court (15 x 45 metres), basketball court (19 x 32 metres), and volleyball / badminton court (15 x 24 metres). There are also board game tables. Overall, the sports field complex is a space of 57 x 46 metres. It is fenced and lighted and features video surveillance.
