All arriving international students are assigned a buddy – an Estonian student – who helps to get the newly arrived students their bearings and adapt to the local community. Our university has a well-established international club offering various events to both international staff and students, including national events, excursions, etc. We also have great facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, with our modern sports building being popular among weight lifters, aerobics people, and basketball players alike. If students do not want to go in for sports in a big way, they can just go jogging in the picturesque parks near the residential blocks of the university.
