Europa-University Viadrina
Description
Since the reopening of the Viadrina in 1991, the European University has developed into an internationally renowned address on the German-Polish border, with approximately 6,000 students now enrolled. The Viadrina builds bridges – not only across the River Oder by forming numerous intensive partnerships with universities and institutes in Poland, but also by reaching out beyond our region to Central and Eastern Europe as well as to France.
Student Life
The Universitätssportclub Viadrina e. V. (USC, University Athletic Club) not only offers many types of athletic activities, but it boasts its own athletic center, and becoming active in the athletic club is a great way to make new friends. Fencing, dancing, rowing, badminton, combat sports, ball games, and many more! The Students' Councils represent the student body within the framework of university governance. Numerous student initiatives enrich life at Viadrina with their plethora of activities and offers.
Housing
Most students live in modern student residences on both sides of the river Oder in Frankfurt and Słubice. Like the other buildings, the student residences are distributed all over the city. Here is some basic information about the residences.
